Winifred Ringers

Southbury – Winifred (Elstob) Ringers, age 88, of Southbury, died Wednesday June 18, 2025 at Waterbury Hospital. She was the wife of the late Denny Ringers.

Mrs. Ringers was born August 1, 1936 in Mineola, New York, daughter of the late Andrew and Winifred (Fahey) Elstob. She was retired after working as a Real Estate Relocation Specialist. She loved the ocean, enjoyed knitting, and above all she loved her family and spending time with them.

”Winnie” is survived by her children: Judith Danielsen and her husband David of New London, New Hampshire, Anne DeLeo and her husband Andrew of Southbury, James Ringers of Atlanta, Georgia and Neil Ringers and his wife Suzanne of Dunwoody, Georgia, her 9 grandchildren: Kate, Eric and Julia Danielsen, Colin, Lily and John DeLeo, Sophia, Phoebe and Benjamin Ringers, and her sister in law: Louise Elstob of New Jersey. She was predeceased by her siblings: Margaret Golden, Christine McShea, Andrew Elstob and Vincent Elstob.

Private funeral services and burial will be held at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours. Community Funeral Home, The Corona Family Funeral and Cremation Services, is honored to be assisting Mrs. Ringers’ family.
