Richard Reale

Middlebury – Mr. Richard A. “Dick” Reale, age 84, of Middlebury died Sunday February 15, 2026 at Stone Bridge Rehabilitation and Health Care Center in Newtown. He was the Loving Partner, for over 25 years of the late Catherine Archambault.

Mr. Reale was born May 19, 1941 in New Bedford, MA. son of the late Umberto and Katherine “Ida” (Reale) Reale. He graduated from Holy Name School in New Bedford, MA., retired from MRL Electric after working for many years as a Licensed Electrician and was a Veteran Member of the Middlebury Volunteer Fire Department. He was an avid boater and water skier, an accomplished musician and singer and enjoyed hunting.

Mr. Reale is survived by his sons: Russell Reale and his wife Syndi of Temecula, CA. and Daniel Reale of Middlebury, his sister: Marie Anderson of New Bedford, MA., his son in law: Mark Wither of Prospect, his grandchildren: Alex, Spencer, Rylie, Nick and Ethan and his great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his daughters: Susan J. Reale and Nancy M. Reale.

Mr. Reale’s family will receive relatives and friends on Saturday February 21, 2026 from 2 to 4 p.m. at Community Funeral Home, The Corona Family Funeral and Cremation Services, 72 Waterbury Road ( Next to the Post Office) in Prospect. A Funeral Service will be held at the funeral home immediately following the visitation at 4 p.m. Private Committal Services and Burial will be in Lake Elise Cemetery in Middlebury.
