Raymond Woods

Waterbury – Raymond A. "Lonnie" Woods, age 68, of Waterbury died Friday December 19,2025 at Waterbury Hospital.

Mr. Woods was born October 11,1957 in Waterbury son of the late Earnest and Dorothy (Washington) Woods. He worked for many years as a delivery driver and was a member of Grace Baptist Church in Waterbury. He loved watching and playing basketball, watching old Western movies and hanging out with family and friends. He proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army and Army National Guard.

Mr. Woods is survived by his daughter: Camille Woods of Thomasville, NC, his siblings: Robin Woods – Barrant (Peter) of Stoughton, MA, Mark Woods (Lisa Bennett of Waterbury and Monica Hunter (Schley) of Waterbury. He was predeceased by his sister: Deborah Woods – Gracia.

Mr. Woods family will receive relatives and friends on Monday December 29,2025 from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Community Funeral Home, The Corona Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 72 Waterbury Road (Next to the Post Office) in Prospect. A Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial with full Army Funeral Honors will be in New Pine Grove Cemetery in Waterbury.
