Raymond Fontaine

–

Prospect, Connecticut

Beacon Falls – Mr. Raymond “Ray” Fontaine, 75, of Beacon Falls, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 13, 2026, at Waterbury Hospital, surrounded by the love of his family. He was the devoted husband of Deborah (Graham) Fontaine.

Ray was born on June 29, 1950, in Massachusetts and was raised in Milford, Connecticut. A proud patriot, he served his country as a Staff Sergeant in the United States Army Reserve. Ray built a long and hardworking career as a truck driver and later retired from O&G Industries.

Outside of work, Ray found his greatest joy in classic cars. He loved attending car shows, sharing stories with fellow enthusiasts, and spending hours in the garage working on his cherished 1933 Willys — a project and passion that brought him endless pride and happiness.

In addition to his beloved wife Deborah, Ray leaves behind his loving daughters, Linda Foster (Patrick); Marie Lariccia (Brian); and Heather Desrosier (Michael). He will be dearly missed by his grandchildren, Christopher, Matthew, and Marissa Foster; Abby Lariccia; Marin Rae, and Kennedy Desrosier, as well as his great-grandchildren, Emma, Sophia, Charlotte, and Everhett. Ray is also survived by his sister, Claire Stapleton (Walter), along with his brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, and many beloved nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his parents, Roland and Jeannette (Demers) Fontaine.

A Celebration of Ray’s Life will be held on Saturday, May 2, 2026, at his home from 12:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.
