Mark A. Cummings, Sr.

Waterbury – Mark A. Cummings, Sr., age 65, of Waterbury, passed away September 15, 2025 at St. Mary’s Hospital.

Mr. Cummings was born March 16, 1960 in Waterbury son of the late Isaiah and Alberta (Perry) Cummings. He retired after working as a machinist at WYCO. He loved being a Father and Grandfather more than anything else. He cherished his time with all of his kids and his grandchildren. Sporting events, parties, get-togethers, he just loved being around his family.
Mr. Cummings is survived by his longtime girlfriend: Diane Dickens, his children: Marie Galvan and her husband Scott of Florida, Shanae Reed of Waterbury, Sean Yenkelun and his wife Nicole of Middlebury, Joseph Yenkelun of Waterbury and Mark A. Cummings, Jr. (Ashlei) of Waterbury and his grandchildren: Avianna Cummings, Christian Jones, Dior Jones, Jacob Perez, Tessa Duprey, Makayla Meserole, Jaliyah Yenkelun and Jazir Yenkelun. He was predeceased by his brothers: Vantz Cummings and Melvin Cummings.

Private funeral services and burial will be held at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours. Community Funeral Home, The Corona Family Funeral and Cremation Services, 72 Waterbury Road Prospect is in charge of arrangements.
