Joshua Trudeau

–

Prospect, Connecticut

Waterbury- Joshua Trudeau, 47, of Waterbury passed suddenly on April 10, 2025.
Shortly after celebrating 18 years with his true love, Tannya (Wascavage) Trudeau.
Joshua was born on August 3, 1977, with his twin brother Jeremy. He was born in
Waterbury to Diane Giattino and the late Claude Trudeau. He was a motorcycle and car
enthusiast while he loved to work on them “turning the wrench as needed”. He also had
fun riding around the state in his earlier years. Joshua worked for many years at
Durable Radiator as a tow-truck driver until he became ill, it broke his heart not being
able to work. As always, he held his head high and persevered. He was a gentle giant,
Josh lived to make people laugh by jokes or pranks. He stood firm so his family would
always be able to count on him as he supported and loved each and every one of them,
he made sure he was present in their lives. Helped many people in their times of need,
has held an open door for years and was the example of “giving the shirt off his back” to
someone. Joshua made his friends feel as they are family, even if you were not a blood
relative, he treated you as if you were. He loved listening to music, playing the drums, a
little bit of guitar, and most recently spent time playing Xbox with his kids and friends.
He and his brother Jeremy were the best at bringing people to tears in laughter. Besides
him was his wife Tannya, and they adored each other. They showed the example of
family and what family truly means to each other.
Joshua will continue to live on in the hearts and minds of all his family and friends as
memories are forever.
He is greatly missed by his wife Tannya, his children, Andrew Trudeau, Emilie Trudeau,
both of Waterbury, Kaitlynn Ambrutis and her husband Caleb of Bristol, David Dodd III
of Plainville, mother, Diane Giattino, twin brother, Jeremy and his family all of Waterbury,
sister, Jessica Giattino-Citron (Angel) of Maryland, formerly of Waterbury, many nieces,
nephews, 2 great nieces, aunts, uncles, cousins and many family/friends.
A. Cassidy’s Cremation Service has the honor to care for Joshua and work in
coordination with the Community Funeral Home in Prospect, 72 Waterbury Rd. (Next to
the post office). Family invites friends to attend on Wednesday, April 16, 2025 from 5-
8pm.
