Hildegard Bunegru

Bethany – Mrs. Hildegard G. (Kruse) Bunegru, age 86, of Bethany
passed away Thursday March 19, 2026 at Complete Care at Glendale
in Naugatuck. She was the widow of Andrew Bunegru.
Mrs. Bunegru was born August 27, 1939 in Marienborg, Germany
daughter of the late Paul Peter and Martha (Prowierskow) Kruse. She
was a devoted Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, Sister and Friend and was extremely proud of her country the United States of America, proudly displaying her patriotism to all.
Mrs. Bunegru is survived by her daughter: Anna Travis (Scott) of
Branford, her grandchildren: Kimberly Young, Kristina Michels
(Jordan), Jessica Cook (Cameron) and Jocelyn Travis, her great grandchildren: Joshua and Liam Young and Kate, Everly and Hudson Michels her sister: Gisela Kaiser and her neighbors and dear friends: Thom and Robert Dodson.
Mrs. Bunegru’s family will receive relatives and friends on Wednesday March 25, 2026 from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Community Funeral Home 72 Waterbury Road (Next to the Post Office) in Prospect. A funeral service will immediately follow at 12:30 p.m. Burial will be in Mountain Meadow Cemetery in Seymour.
