Dinis Marques Obituary (2025)

Prospect – Mr. Dinis T. Marques, age 65, of Prospect passed away peacefully on Friday April 25, 2025 at his home with his loving family by his side. He was the husband of Maria Teresa Macedo Marques. Mr. Marques was born January 1, 1960 in Vales de Jales, Portugal son of the late Joao Luciano Magalhaes Marques and the late Leopoldina Silvestre Terreiro. He was retired after working for many years as a machine operator at ITW Anchor Stampings in Waterbury and was also an entrepreneur throughout his life. He was a communicant of Our Lady of Fatima Roman Catholic Church in Waterbury, loved spending time with his grandchildren, was a member of the Portuguese Sport Club of Waterbury, an avid pheasant hunter and enjoyed traveling to Portugal to visit family and friends. In addition to his wife Maria, Mr. Marques is survived by his sons: Joao Victor Marques and his wife Claudia of Prospect and Marco Macedo Marques and his wife Christina of Prospect, his grandchildren: Lilianna, Cecilia, Antonio and Romeo and his siblings: Jose Joaquim Terreiro Marques, Maria Do Ceu Baptista, Maria Teresa Terreiro Marques and Manuel Terreiro Marques. Private funeral services and burial in Prospect Cemetery will be held at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours. Community Funeral Home 72 Waterbury Road (Next to the Post Office) in Prospect is in charge of arrangements.
