Craig Lance

Prospect, CT – Craig R. Lance, age 58, of Prospect passed away
unexpectedly while on vacation with friends in San Diego, California on
October 10, 2024.
Craig was born October 16, 1965, in Waterbury, the son of Mary Ellen
(Fitzmaurice) Lance of Prospect and the late Robert S. Lance. He worked
as a bartender for many years in area restaurants including Carmen
Anthony’s Restaurant in Waterbury, the Mayflower Inn and La Tavola
Restaurant, he also worked most recently at Carriage Limousine Service.
As a well-known bartender, Craig had the gift of gab and could talk sports
and stats with anyone and treated all his customers as old friends. He
loved spending time with his family, especially his niece and nephews who
absolutely adored him. He was their biggest fan and enjoyed cheering
them on enthusiastically at all their sporting events. He was an avid
sportsman himself who enjoyed playing golf, basketball and tennis.
In addition to his mother Mary Ellen “Lynn” Lance of Prospect, Craig is
survived by his brother Eric Lance and his wife Jolie of Middlebury, his
niece and nephews Mya, John, and Ryan Lance, his lifelong friend Shane
Donovan, his aunt Joan Levandoski and his cousins Pamela Perugini and
Michael Andrzywski, as well as a host of many other dear friends.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday October 24, 2024, from 5:30-7:30pm
at the Prospect Community Funeral Home (located at 72 Waterbury Road,
Route 69, next to the Post Office in Prospect). A celebration of Craig’s life
will be held during the calling hours at 6:30 p.m. Burial will be at the
convenience of the family.
