In Loving Memory of Carlton Taylor Marable
October 9, 1982 – July 11, 2026
Carlton Taylor Marable was born on October 9, 1982, in Norwalk, Connecticut. On July 11, 2026, Carlton peacefully departed this life in Waterbury, Connecticut, leaving behind a legacy of faith, love, and leadership that continues to live on through all who knew him.
Raised in Norwalk, Carlton attended Brien McMahon High School before building a successful career in the automotive industry. Gifted with charisma and an entrepreneurial spirit, he had an extraordinary ability to connect with people from every walk of life. Whether through business, friendship, or family, Carlton made others feel valued, understood, and capable of more than they imagined.
Carlton found joy in life's simple pleasures. He loved sports, especially baseball and football, and cherished the friendships they fostered. Music was another of his greatest passions. He could spend hours creating beats, allowing his creativity and imagination to come to life through music. Whether talking about sports, music, or life, Carlton had a way of turning ordinary conversations into meaningful ones.
Those who knew Carlton will never forget his infectious smile, magnetic personality, and unmistakable presence. He had a gift for bringing people together, finding common ground with everyone he met, and making every room brighter simply by being in it. An eternal optimist, he inspired others to dream bigger, think differently, and believe in a brighter future.
Above all, Carlton was a devoted father who embraced the responsibility of fatherhood with love and intention. His children were his greatest blessings, and he was committed to guiding, protecting, and encouraging them every step of the way. He was also a loving son, cherished brother, faithful man of God, mentor, and friend. To his family, he was their protector and hero. To many others, he was a source of wisdom, encouragement, and unwavering support.
Carlton had a remarkable way of leaving people better than he found them. His kindness, compassion, and ability to see the best in others inspired countless lives. Though he is no longer with us, his influence lives on through everyone who was fortunate enough to know and love him.
Carlton was preceded in death by his beloved son, Tyrell Brady; and his grandparents, Charles Marable, Ellen Marable, Marsha Marable, and Thelma McCrae and aunts and uncles.
Carlton is lovingly remembered by his parents, Anthony McCrae; Sonja Marable-Gary and her husband, Charles Gary; his grandfather, Charles McCrae; his children, Charlize McCrae, Teairra Brady, and Audrianna McCormick; his siblings, Candice McCrae and Christopher McCrae and his wife Brenna McCrae; his niece and nephew, Sonja McCrae and Gareth McCrae; along with his aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family, dear friends, colleagues, and all whose lives were forever touched by his love and encouragement.
Though our hearts are broken by his passing, we find comfort in knowing that Carlton's legacy did not end on July 11, it lives on in every life he inspired. The greatest way to honor his memory is to dream boldly, pursue your purpose, and encourage others to do the same.
